Songs to Keep You Motivated

Hello all you lovely little light bulbs reading this today! Hope you're all well and you're enjoying the new year. So to continue the 7 days of motivation, I've decided to include some songs that really help me get motivated when I'm in a bit of a rut. (Someone out there is probably going, whaaatt??Again, aww not another song list, Jess..") You don't have to like every song, but maybe you'll be able to find one or two that help you in your quest for motivation.

 1. Suddenly I See - KT Tunstall
Who else remembers this from the Devil Wears Prada? Every time I hear this I just think of that beginning scene where all the girls are doing their hair, makeup and all that jazz. It's just brilliant and a great kick-starter to your day. You'll begin to see a recurring theme with this list of the fact that they're mostly featured in montage scenes. (After all, who doesn't love a good montage scene?)
2. Run The World (Girls) - Beyoncé
Ah, gotta have a bit of Queen B. I mean there's a reason she's nicknamed "Queen B" She's the personification of girl power. Legit. (don't know if anyone still uses that word.) And look at that thumbnail. Queen B and a lion. Can you say fierce? Also am I the only one who wants to be a dancer in the music video? No? Just me?
3. Stronger - Britney Spears
I'm a huge, huge fan of early Britney. Like a really big fan. She was brilliant. And she's great now - but there was something so, so special about her in the early days. The song, besides being ridiculously catchy, does have an amazing message. For me, it just reminds me that today is another day and that I'm stronger than I was yesterday.
4. Good Day - The Click Five
Such a feel good song and used in the montage scene of Sydney White ( great film to watch during Amanda Bynes' glory days) The title says it all really.
5. Perfect Day - Joanna Pacitti
*singing* Per-fect da-ay, nothing's standing in my way....
You all might recognise this from the opening scenes of Legally Blonde. It's actually so perfect to kick start your day - it gives you a really optimistic message and so much motivation.
(I would include the actual video, but this montage of the film that someone made is too cute not to put in here.)
6. Stand Up - Melee
To me, this song is all about standing up for yourself and being who you are. It's great for this time of year because it reminds you to be you and not let any one else rule your life. In other words, take charge of your life and not let anyone else do that for you. (Which you all might remember is one of my resolutions.)
7. Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) - Kelly Clarkson
I'm a massive, massive fan of Kelly. Her and Britney were my favourite idols growing up. First of all, her vocals are insane and she's gorgeous. Secondly, her songs and lyrics are always amazing. Her album, Breakaway, is one of my favourites and I'm pretty sure I listened to it on a loop for months on end.
8. Watch Me Shine - Joanna Pacitti
I've talked about this song before in this post and I absolutely love it. You might all recognise it from Legally Blonde and this has got to be my favourite montage scene of all time. Every time I hear this song I just think of myself becoming Elle Woods and rising above everyone else's negativity. The music in Legally Blonde is fab. (I've included the montage scene instead of a lyric video because in my opinion, it's 1000 times better.)
9. I Lived - One Republic
I genuinely think this song needs to be number one and played all over the world. It's so, so beautiful. It's all about taking on life, taking on the world and how at the end of your life or day you can finally say, "I lived."
I love this song so much, I don't think I can fully comprehend or actually produce words to show my love for it.
10. You Get What You Give - New Radicals
I did a post for blogmas ((Blogmas: Day 11) You Get What You Give - which btw is one of my favourite posts I've ever written. I'm really proud of it.) and at the end of my really crap day, which you'll read about in the post, this song came on the radio. Now I know a lot of people don't believe in fate and signs and stuff like that, but for me it was a sign to just keep going and it reminded me that you only get what you give and to keep trying. I treated this as my anthem after that and I think this, along with some of the other songs in this list, are going to be my anthems for 2014. If you're going to put any 2 songs on your playlist, put I Lived and this one. I don't understand how anyone could not like it.
I hope you're feeling a little more motivated and that you can conquer the world now after a sing-a-long to some of these. That's all for today, folks! And remember: believe in yourself and promise yourself to try. Thanks for reading!
