Blogmas: Day 2 - 3 Week Challenge

Blogmas day two is officially underway!

One thing I am trying to get back into the habit of is doing daily exercise. I don't feel like I have enough time to go out and do some cardio so I normally resort to doing circuits in my room. One of the things I have been absolutely loving is the Lauren Conrad Three Week Challenge. The goal is to perform 100 crunches and 25 push ups per day to help boost the core, arms and stamina. It's the perfect exercise. It pushes you quite a bit with the number of crunches but not too much so it's perfect for a morning workout and won't tire you out for the rest of the day.

Out of all the ab exercises I've ever done, I like crunches the best. They don't strain my lower back or my neck which is often the reason why I don't like doing other abdominal stretches. Be careful if you are performing crunches to not pull on your neck.

And because I do have a bad back and find push-ups nearly impossible, I use the "lazy" method of push ups where I put my knees on the floor. Although I call this my "lazy" method, you still get such a great workout from it. If you don't believe me, try it yourself!

So I'm encouraging you today to get off your butt and start doing a little bit each day. It's going to be hard at first and you need to have some self control to get yourself to do any of this, but the results are great. I actually started this once and made it to day 15, but I missed a day by accident and never got round to restarting it. But good news was, my stomach stayed pretty flat for a whole week after. So now, both you and I are going to take this challenge together. Keep working at it. Be prepared that the first couple of days will be tough, but the results will be worth it. You'll have so much more energy and be able to focus on more things.
